First born for Kent 
First baby bison is born in England in a 1,000 years, Kent Wildlife receive £100,000 for bison rewilding project. The funding was part of Rewilding Britain’s annual award towards a projects reintroducing lost breeds like iron-age pigs, Exmoor ponies and long-horn cattle. 
These breeds of animals are conservation grazers will help to restore the ancient woodland.
Bison was hunted to almost extinction in the early 20th century across the continent, European bison have not lived wild in the UK for thousands of years. Wide open prairies commonly associated with their larger American counterparts, European Bison prefer woodland. 
Rangers foundte baby calf only just a few months after the mother was released in the woodland.
 
Rewilding Britain, the project is working at nature’s pace and allowing nature's natural processes to lead the way.
 
Kent Wildlife Trust is offering safaris to educate visitors on their regenerative 
Farmers and landowners in England could be paid to turn large areas of land into nature reserves, or to restore floodplains, under new government agriculture subsidies.
